STP ALL-STAR: Colby M.
We are pleased to announce STP’s May All-Star, Colby M. Colby is a Carpenter that has been working for with us doing great finish work at a large condo complex in the Portland Maine area.
We first spoke with Colby at the very end of 2020. Colby was working as a Sales agent for an insurance agency and was looking to get back to building things with his hands, which is what he did all through college. The STP Team quickly found him a home with a great contractor, and he has been working nonstop ever since. Colby is extremely reliable, has a great attitude, and acts as a mentor to other tradesmen on site.
Colby came to Maine from Jericho, Vermont for college, when he was recruited to St Joseph’s for Lacrosse. He got into Carpentry the summer before he went to college, when a family friend who was a contractor asked him if “knew how to swing a hammer?”. He responded yes and the rest was history. Colby worked for the contractor that summer learning the trades from the ground up, as well as every summer that he was in college doing high end residential work.
“I love working for STP and the contractor on site; I do not miss doing Sales for a minute!”. No amount of money would get him back there.
Colby enjoys the team that he gets to work with every day, as well as the staff at STP, whom he finds incredibly helpful in helping him find the best fit for his strengths.
