STP All Star: Adrian N.
Sheet metal mechanic Adrian has been with STP since December 2020. He is always on time, is very reliable and loyal, and works very well both independently and as part of a large team.
Adrian was a sheet metal worker with a large mechanical contractor for 15 years before being laid off as a result of COVID. He’s worked on hundreds of different job sites in Connecticut, including a two-floor renovation at Hartford Hospital. “I did a lot,” he said (He’s a man of few words😊).
When Adrian immigrated to the US from Albania, he didn’t speak English. “Nothing at all,” he said. “It was a hard time for me to survive. But every day I learned a couple of things.” He participated in an ESL (English as a Second Language) program, and then earned a license through the AI Prince Technical High School Sheet Metal Licensing Program. “I decided to go to school because I wanted to make more money for my family,” he said. “I studied six months for the test, and I passed the test on the first try.”
In his free time, Adrian likes to work on home renovations and in his yard. He also likes to travel.
From all of us at STP… Thank you for all your hard work Adrian
