Electrician Baylen M. is a Midwestern transplant that has been with STP since November. He is a leader on any site, takes real pride in his work, and never misses a day. Currently, he is wiring a six-story apartment complex in Maine.
Baylen is a third-generation electrician and is proud to be carrying on the family tradition. He also genuinely enjoys what he does. “I love that there has never been more than a week of the same work,” he said. “It never gets stale. There is always something to learn. I really enjoy the people I work with and for.”
Baylen also appreciates everyone who has contributed to his success along the way. “I’ve had a good opportunity to work for a lot of good, older craftsmen who really took the time to sit down and teach me the tools, methods, and their thought processes for making an efficient and good product,” he said.
Hailing from Tulsa, OK, where he worked mostly on large commercial and heavy industrial projects, Baylen now loves being in Maine. “Maine is hugely different,” he said. “It’s not windy here. It’s just beautiful and I love it.”
He was glad to sign up with STP when he arrived in the fall. “I haven’t worked for a company that has invested in their guys ever,” he said. “They are second to none. They take so much pride in their workers and I’m proud to be wearing their shirt.”
